Seven years ago [May 2002], I started taking dance lessons through Metro Community College. This soon led to many more classes and workshops, friendships with really great people, and a regular social dance schedule on Thursdays [Latin Dancing at Arthur's] and Fridays [Swing Dancing - Jitterbugs].
The framework for my
success to dancing Ballroom came from the many lessons I took at Ron
Shepard's JustDance Studio from 2004-2007. I, like so many other
students and instructors, owe and ever lasting debt to Ron for providing a
"home base" for us to learn and practice dancing.
A major part of my success in Latin Dancing (Salsa/ Cha-Cha), I owe to dance instructors Marty Herbert and Salerodalante (Blandon and Jennifer).
In October 2004, I added Ballroom Dancing to my regular dance schedule for Wednesday nights at the PlaMor Ballroom and once a month at the Millard American Legion.
Very Special Thanks to Connie. In April 2005, I added West Coast Swing to the dance schedule for Tuesdays (Eli's) and later joined the Omaha Swing Dance Club (OSDC) which had
a regular Club Night at American Legion Post #1 on Thursdays.
In February 2006, I performed in
my first Dance Exhibition with Lisa Campbell. Very

In September 2006, I fell in love
with Argentine Tango, and spent the next several months learning to dance
it by taking classes, watching video, and most of all dancing on Friday
nights at Sur Tango in Lincoln Nebraska. Special thanks to Karen
Currently, (as of July 2009), I
have been too busy Dancing, to take additional classes - but I will!
My goal is to add only those dance steps that I will be using 5+ years from
now.
